Geneva & Western Switzerland
Ordinær pris 199,00 krITM har kart over hele verden og de spesialiserer seg på land litt utenfor allfarvei. Beliggenheten til landets nasjonalparker, historiske monumenter, de viktigste veiene o.L. Finner du inkludert i kartene. Samtlige landkart har ofte et bykart over hovedstaden.
Fra ITM: Geneva is an ancient Swiss town close to the French border, nestled along the edge of Lake Leman, and is bisected by the Rhone River. The old town is on the left, or lower, bank and is loaded with shops and restaurants. The ‘new’ town is on the right, or upper, bank and contains the downtown shopping area and the main railway station. The United Nations complex, the Palais des Nations, is a bit of a walk to reach, so fortunately there is a tram that goes right to the gates. The airport is shown at the top of the page. The 2nd side is a new map for us, covering the western half of Switzerland as far as Basle and Luzern, concentrating on the rail network as well as the roads. For example, it shows the rail line to Zermatt, at the base of the Matterhorn.

Switzerland
Ordinær pris 299,00 krThoroughly updated, this seventh edition of Bradt's guide to Switzerland offers a unique perspective on getting the most from this mountainous country while travelling only by public transport. Switzerland boasts the world's finest public transport network - the comfort, efficiency and frequency of trains, buses, boats and cable cars explain why many Swiss don't own cars - yet is still enhancing services, including recently around Geneva. The Swiss Travel System is a revelation.
Moreover, using public transport is a must. Visitors cannot reach many fine Swiss sights by road, and over a dozen car-free resorts enable them to experience the serenity and clean air of the country's mountains (208 above 3,000m). Walkers and cyclists enjoy superb networks - almost 64,000km of footpaths and many surprisingly unhilly cycle paths beside lakes and rivers.
Written by a railway expert who has been visiting this mountainous country since childhood, no other guidebook is devoted to Swiss public transport, which is the easiest, most enjoyable and responsible way to travel. The guide encompasses culture, architecture, landscapes, walking and cycling, plus fascinating facts for railway enthusiasts, numerous tips for reducing costs in a country known for being expensive, and ample advice for foodies. Switzerland offers some of the world's most stunning landscapes.
Above and beyond mountains and lakes, each region offers something different and often curious - such as the world's smallest vineyard, barely the extent of a dinner table, owned by the Dalai Lama - while four official languages add cultural variety. Switzerland's cities are among the world's most beautiful, safest and pedestrian friendly. Its capital, Bern, is a World Heritage Site with 6km of covered arcades, where even jaded shoppers will delight in hundreds of independent shops.
The Smart Traveller's Wine Guide: Switzerland
Ordinær pris 269,00 krThe Smart Traveller’s Wine Guide series is written in collaboration with Club Oenologique, with comprehensive listings of restaurants, hotels, cafés and bars, points of wider cultural interest such as art galleries and museums, which wineries you can visit, how to read a Swiss wine list, Swiss winemakers’ favourite restaurants and more.

Taking 2 weeks to complete, this challenging but rewarding trek encompasses views of the greatest collection of 4000m peaks in the Alps - Mont Blanc, the Grand Combin, Dent Blanche, Weisshorn and the Matterhorn - and visits some of the most spectacular valleys, including the Val d'Herens, Val d'Annivers and the Mattertal.
