The city itself is very interesting, with a city centre dominated by colonial-styled buildings. Balboa Park is home to one of the best zoos in North America, and the historic 'old town' area north of the city centre has become a popular 'Old Mexico' theme attraction. As well, there is the Tijuana Trolley, which is, in fact, a modern surface-rail tram line that goes from the city centre to close to the walk-across border with Mexico into colourful downtown Tijuana. Mexico: Gulf Coast

The Gulf Cost extends from Brownsville, Texas through Vera Cruz to the Yucatan Peninsula. Due to the shape of the region, all of Belize and about half of Guatemala is included, but the focus is on the many attractions of the eastern Gulf coast of Mexico. Side 1 cover the northern coastal regions, going inland as far as Monterrey, Zacatecas, Morelia, and Mexico City.
Side 2 shows the Gulf Coast from Tampico to Carmen, then on to Merida, Cancun, and the southern tip of Belize. By the shape of this part of Mexico, the Pacific Coast, from the Guatemalan border westwards past Acapulco is also shown. All major roads are shown, but as passenger rail service was discontinued several years ago, we have opted to not show most rail lines. This is a map for explorers and adventurers to discover by driving. It covers all of historic Mexico and complements other ITMB maps detailing regions of a fascinating country, where the first word you learn is 'Hola!'
USA 4: Northeast

They offer the best possible scale, level of detail and readability, be it a map of a small island or half a continent.
The maps feature a detachable paper sleeve so that the maps can be folded easily and fit in every pocket. Although printed on plastic, a special coating makes sure the maps retain a paper-like feel and can even be written on with a pencil.

Fra ITM: This map is a specialized hiking map of one of the toughest trails in North America. It takes a week to hoof it from Bamfield to Port Renfrew along the western coastline of British Columbia’s West Coast Trail. Hiking the trail is so popular that it is necessary to reserve a start time well in advance of arriving! The trail is contained within a national park, so camping sites are controlled and must be adhered to.
The map has a secondary purpose; it is a recreational map at a detailed scale for anyone wanting to explore the old-growth forests of this part of Vancouver Island. This includes the Broken Islands group, which is also part of the national park, and the Carmanah Valley Provincial Park, home of some of the tallest and oldest trees in the world. By the nature of a rectangular sheet of paper, the map also includes a wealth of logging roads, shorter hikes, whitewater kayaking areas, wilderness campsites, and the canoeing routes of Nitinat Lake. This is truly an amazing adventure map. The artwork is that of the Canada Map Office, with recreational information added by ITMB.
Canada: Yukon & British Columbia North
Ordinær pris 199,00 krStarting with Yukon (NB: not “the” Yukon, please), this portion of NWT was carved out into its own territory a century ago, as a result of the gold rush to the Klondike. It is the same map we’ve done since 1989, updated whenever necessary and includes inset maps of Whitehorse (the capital), Dawson City, and Watson Lake. It is still a territory, not a full province, although essentially self-administering.
The NWT side of the sheet shows the brand new all-season gravel road to Tuktoyaktuk on the Arctic Ocean, opening up this part of Canada for land travel for the first time. An inset map of Yellowknife (the capital) is included.
Mexico: Chihuahua & Coahuila

Fra ITM: Northern Mexico is a vast desert-like plateau deeply steeped in Spanish colonial heritage. The very first settlement inside what is now the USA was the town of Presidio (long before the English thought of settling Jamestown) and is still one of the few crossings of the Rio Grande into Texas (itself a former Mexican province). There are two major cities in the region, Chihuahua, 300 kms south of El Paso, and Monterrey, the largest city in northern Mexico. There are major touristic attractions at Monclova, Saltillo, Parras, Torreon, and Cuauhtemoc, the end of the famous Copper Canyon rail line. The map extends a bit into Sinaloa, to include Los Mochis on the Pacific coastline. The entire rail line is also shown. This is an important part of North American history. It may not be as well-known to Europeans who favour the beaches of the Yucatan, but it is a fascinating part of Mexico on the American border. Ciudad Juarez, for example, is larger than its partner on the Rio Grande, El Paso. An inset map of the old colonial city of Saltillo is included, as well as our Top Attractions list.

Wilderness campsites, parks such as Rainier, Olympic, and Baker, are shown. Seattle as a city, stretches far beyond the confines of a practical map in that it stretches from Everett to Tacoma. Our map covers from the University in the north to the Beacon hill neighbourhood in the south and from the waterfront to Lake Washington.
An inset map of the greater region is included. The rapid transit line is also included on the map and on the back cover. The reverse side of the sheet shows all the roads of Washington State in excellent Olympic, and Baker, state parks, touristic sites, beaches, ferry routes, native reserves, motorways, and even the ill-fated Hanford nuclear site are included. The map is printed on ITM waterproof paper for durability.
USA: Grand Canyon & Arizona
Ordinær pris 169,00 krArizona is an amazingly attractive State to visit, with Route 66 attractions in the north, bustling Phoenix in the centre, and a strongly-influenced Mexican influence in the south. Thus, a travel map for the state makes sense, and this one shows camping sites, local attractions (including Tombstone) and includes inset maps for Flagstaff and Grand Canyon Village. Its main attraction, however, is Grand Canyon, a deep defile carved out over millennia by the Colorado River, on its way to the Gulf of Mexico. This is one of nature's wonders, and a "must see" for everyone.
This results in a very interesting and useful map, covering both one of the most interesting States in America AND one of the great natural phenomena of the world. The map is printed on waterproof and biodegradable stone paper, which is a technological marvel in its own right, in this case for durability rather than to protect against moisture.
