Our maps combine state-of-the-art, GPS-compatible cartography (including hypsometric tints and contour lines) with a detailed rendering of road networks and touristic information. They offer the best possible scale, level of detail and readability, be it a map of a small island or half a continent.

The maps feature a detachable paper sleeve so that the maps can be folded easily and fit in every pocket. Although printed on plastic, a special coating makes sure the maps retain a paper-like feel and can even be written on with a pencil.

Ireland at 1:300,000 on a large, double-sided road map from Marco Polo Travel Publishing with enlargements for the environs of Dublin, Cork and Belfast, plus an index booklet with 5 city street plans and brief descriptions of 15 selected top sights, etc. The map divides Ireland north/south, with a generous overlap and Dublin included on both sides. Where appropriate, both Irish and English place names are shown.

Cartography is from the renowned German publishers MairDumont. Road network includes minor roads and local tracks, highlights scenic routes, shows intermediate driving distances on main and secondary roads, motorway services, etc. Railway lines, ferry routes and local airports are included, as well as administrative divisions with names of the counties. Locations of interest are prominently highlighted, with separate colouring for towns or villages and for natural sites. National parks and other protected areas are marked. Multilingual map legend includes English.

Surrounding the map are enlargements showing in greater detail the environs of Dublin, Cork and Belfast. A separate booklet attached to the map cover includes an index which also lists national parks, UNESCO World Heritage sites, airports and amusement parks. The booklet also contains brief descriptions of 15 most interesting locations prominently highlighted on the map, plus street plans of central Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Belfast and Londonderry/Derry.

As technology improves, we are able to produce more detailed maps than was previously possible. Such is the case with Ireland, a part of the world consisting of two countries divided by religion and history. Preparing a map of Ireland as a double-sided map means cutting the island into two geographic portions. Side 1 covers the northern half. This includes the portion known as Northern Ireland, or Ulster, and a fair portion of the Republic of Ireland, or Eire; essentially everything north of Dublin and west to Counties Mayo and Galway.

Side 2 covers the southern half of the island from just north of Dublin to the outer tips of County Kerry. It also includes a nice inset map of central Dublin. Naturally, all motorways and roads are included, as are touristic attractions, camping/caravan sites, ferry terminals, and Top Attractions. This is a very detailed travel map of the island, printed on waterproof paper for durability. We had great fun driving around Ireland researching this map. It is a very popular travel destination; easy to reach and lovely to see.

Indexed, light, waterproof and tear-resistant road map of Israel and the Palestinian Territories at 1:250,000 with topographic and tourist information, published by Reise Know-How as part of their highly acclaimed World Mapping Project. The map is double-sided, with a generous overlap between the sides. Names of larger towns are also given in Hebrew and Arabic, other locations are in the Latin alphabet only.

Detailed road network (with locations of petrol stations and driving distances on main and most local routes) and railways are shown on a clear base with subtle altitude colouring to indicate the topography, including the areas below the sea level. Numerous places of interest (holy places of various denominations, UNESCO World Heritage sites, archaeological remains, national parks and reserves, beaches, etc) are highlighted in contrasting colours for easier identification. The map also shows campsites and youth hostels.

The map shows the course of the separation wall with crossing points (in spring 2014 plus as planned), the pre-1967 borders indicating within the West Bank areas of full Palestinian control, the UNDOF zone in the Golan Heights, as well as international borders with crossing points. Longitude and latitude lines are drawn at 10' intervals. Extensive index has a separate list of national parks/reserves and JNF sites. Map legend includes English.

Bold relief shading with plenty of names of geographical features provides a good presentation of the country’s topography, both in the northern part where the coverage extends to include most of southern Switzerland and the Austrian Alps south of Innsbruck, and along the spine of the Apennines.

Road network includes many small local roads, most with driving distances. Gradients are marked on steep roads. The railway network and ferry connections are included. Symbols highlight some places of interest, including national parks, but the map is basically designed to show the road network rather than the country’s great artistic and historical heritage.

The map has latitude and longitude lines at intervals of 30’. Multilingual map legend includes English.

Fra ITM: The mountainous northern portion of Italy is one of todays touristic highlights. This is a new title for ITMB and one that required considerable research to accomplish. It not only shows the roads and rail lines in the region, but hotels, castles/fortresses, museums, and a significant number of footpaths. This is the first new map of this important region, covering from Trento in the south to Sterzing-Vipiteno in the north. It also has a Top Attractions list to assist users. The reverse side is a more general map of northeastern Italy from the Slovenian border west to Brescia and from the Swiss border south to Siena, for the assistance of end users. This side has its own Top Attractions list and an outline of the area covered in better detail that is on the other side of the sheet.

This detailed road map of Emilia-Romagna - Bologna is very suitable for planning and traveling around the country. The road network is well represented, both the main roads, provincial and local roads. Road numbers are also clearly stated.

Distances between places are marked on the map in kilometers, and gas stations are also marked in important places. Shadow shows the relief and sometimes some points with the actual height. Province borders, national parks and reserves are easy to find.

Symbols indicate the location of tourist sites, monuments, historically important places and viewpoints. In certain places you can find hotels and campsites, airports, train connections and ports.

Florence, or Firenze in Italian, is one of the most fascinating cities on earth. It is a treasure trove of museums, statues, plazas, narrow streets, and expensive stores. Lan and I spent a week here last December, representing Canada at an international convention. We had our artwork ready to go to press, but we wanted one last opportunity to check our data. It proved to be a wise decision. We found many changes that were unrecorded-hotels out of existence, restaurants either closed down or open with new names, many churches closed, and others converted to other uses, two tram lines not shown on other maps, and lots of disruption caused by the advent of Omicron, which seems like it has been here forever instead of just a few months.

The Florence side covers from the fortress north of the main railway station to south of the Bobolini Park and from the Hippodrome east to the Asics Firenze Sports complex, and all at an easy-to-use 1:5,000 scale on waterproof paper. The rapid transit lines, which extend to the airport and the regional bus lines off the map, are clearly shown. Dozens upon dozens of hotels, restaurants, churches, plazas, statures, and important buildings are noted, as well as quite a few grocery stores, bars, electric bike recharging stations, bus stops, museums, theatres, bike routes, and libraries.

This map was exhaustive to research! The reverse side is a map of much of central Italy. We call it the Northeast because it starts in Trieste and follows the northern border to Milan, then goes down to Genoa and on to Pisa, Siena, Perugia, and Viterbo. Motorways are shown in purple, with main roads in red. Top attractions are noted. Thus, one can enjoy Florence and take day trips using the same convenient map!

Maps in this series have topography well presented by subtle hill-shading with spot heights, plus colouring for woodlands; national and regional parks are highlighted. Road network emphasizes motorways and regional roads, but also includes small local roads and selected country tracks, most annotated with driving distances. Scenic routes are highlighted and the maps show roads closed to motor vehicles and/or not recommended for caravans, winter closures, toll routes, etc. Names of larger local towns are in bold print, making navigating in unfamiliar terrain much easier. Railway lines and ferry routes are included and local airports are marked.

Picturesque locations are highlighted and in each title 10 best places of interest are prominently marked and briefly described in a booklet attached to the map cover. Symbols indicate various landmarks and facilities, e.g. archaeological sites, churches and castles, campsites, hostels, etc. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 10' intervals. The index, listing all the localities with their postcodes, is in the booklet attached to the map cover. The booklet also provides street plan (s) of the region’s main town(s).
